OUR STORY

The Garden Club is the latest project of Jay Grant, who was one half of Twisted Melon, the seminal London club night that ran from 2002–2007.

Twisted Melon started as a meeting of minds in the queue at Fabric London in November 2001. Co-founded with Warren Mooney, Twisted Melon grew into one of London’s biggest underground club nights. We hosted parties around Farringdon, Old Street, Mayfair and Whitechapel before heading south of the river to Jamm in Brixton, where our events grew to 500 people. Our rise in popularity didn’t go unnoticed, and we were invited to host rooms at Bedrock with John Digweed, The Cross with Norman Jay, and the Ministry of Sound twice with Deep Dish and Sander Kleinenberg.

Twisted Melon attracted some of the biggest names in tech and progressive house, including Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, Hybrid, Anthony Pappa, Chris Fortier, Rui Da Silva, Justin Robertson, Lexicon Avenue, Jonathan Lisle, Phil K, Kasey Taylor, Parallel Sound, Chris Salt and Chloe Harris, as well as residents Ben Clarke and Francis Mallinson. It was an incredible five years of parties and meeting great people along the way. We now bring that inspiration to the newest home for house music in Alcudia, Mallorca – The Garden Club.

Our musical roots lie in deep, tech and progressive house, but as a venue we offer nights across the house music spectrum. You'll find commercial music elsewhere. We're about the soul, funk and journey of house music in all its forms, creating a unique electronic music experience in Mallorca.
